Today's class was about memory - I gave a quick lecture yesterday about Luther and Protestantism, followed by a 20 minute video covering the same material. In class today, you took a quiz on what was presented. It should tell me and you if you need to work on focusing. After that, we analyzed the process.
My favorite excuse given for not doing well on these types of assessments is, "I have ADD." If that is the case, you should have some medication. If not, you should have some means to help you focus. Either way, no employer is going to excuse you from knowing how to do your job after training you. Sometimes you just have to work harder...and when you move on to the world beyond high school, you'll see what competition is really like.
In college, you will be a number. No name, no face - just a number. They won't care if your alarm didn't go off or if you had difficulty sleeping last night. It's about performance and accountability. STart preparing for such a world here and now...
